A warm welcome to the Royal Oak...

The Royal Oak was originally built as a coaching inn and that tradition of superb hospitality certainly continues today with fantastic food, drink, stylish bedrooms and a warm welcome.

The Royal Oak was extensively renovated in 2007 and is now one of the best places to eat, drink and stay in the city centre.

Being situated in the city centre we are close to shops, the cathedral, museum and Ripon race course.

We have a great mix of restaurant and drinking areas and not forgetting our outside courtyard.

If you planning a stay in Ripon our bedrooms have been transformedWe are very proud of our food and our talented kitchenbrigade work hard to create dishes using locally sourced, fresh ingredients for our main menu and daily changing specials board.

Our specially selected wine list has over 40 different wines and our premium draught range includes Timothy Taylor's hand pulled ales and super chilled continental lagers.

Visit ripon...

Ripon is an historic city (the fourth smallest in the UK), with a cathedral dating back to 672 AD, and is perfection in the eye of the tourist. Right in the centre of this fascinating city is The Royal Oak. Not only is it a Grade II Listed building but it has recently undergone the most sensitive refurbishment programme resulting in the original atmosphere being retained whilst, at the same time, making it the place to meet, eat, drink and stay.

There is a most tempting menu, a full range of Timothy Taylor cask ales and fine wines are on offer and for those staying over or using The Royal Oak as a base for a longer stay, their delightful en-suite rooms are the envy of many other quality hotels. Ask about our meal offers and why not ask for our dining club card which will entitle you to 10% off your meals and accomodation here!
