All of our food is freshly prepared in house by our talented brigade of chefs. We are lucky to be located in an area rich with excellent local produce. This is reflected in our menu’s that change seasonally enabling us to use ingredients when they are at there best. We offer a wide selection of meat and vegetarian meals, with a mouth watering desserts menu alongside, and an extensive wine list to compliment your meals.
Our Royal Oak Platter is a popular choice, an oak board piled high with local cheese, ham, pate, chutney, ghurkens, onions, olives and a wedge of fresh bread - delicious! The Royal Oak "pie of the day" has become popular with locals and visitors to Ripon. Details are chalked up daily and only our chefs know what it will be. We can tell you it is made fresh every day using a pick of local ingredients and is always delicious. Favourites so far are steak and ale, and chicken and leek.
